 What You’ll Do…

As the Chief Marketing Officer of Cape Town Tourism, you will:

  • Shape the Vision - Lead the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies to position Cape Town as a premier sustainable destination.
  • Build the Brand - Enhance and oversee iconic brands like LoveCapeTown, TravelWise, and Limitless Cape Town to inspire local and global audiences.
  • Embrace Technology - Pioneer digital transformation using AI, VR/AR, and data analytics to revolutionise destination marketing.
  • Drive Visitor Growth - Expand Cape Town’s reach through targeted campaigns, fostering loyalty and unforgettable travel experiences.
  • Champion Inclusivity - Ensure marketing strategies embrace diversity and universal access, making Cape Town welcoming for all travellers, including persons with disabilities.
  • Collaborate Widely - Partner with communities, businesses, and global organisations to create campaigns that reflect Cape Town’s rich heritage and future aspirations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
  • A background in tourism, destination marketing, or hospitality is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in building and monetising marketing strategies through partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Strong storytelling and communication abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
