Cape Town Tourism is looking for a curious IT graduate to join our Tech & Digital Transformation team and help us explore smarter ways of working.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Tech & Digital Transformation Manager to explore how emerging technology can solve real business challenges and improve how we work.

You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with new tools, test ideas, and contribute to real innovation projects across the organisation, with a focus on delivering practical outcomes and learning how technology supports business goals.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys exploring technology and turning ideas into practical solutions.

What you’ll be involved in

• Exploring ways technology can improve internal processes
• Supporting workflow automation and digital innovation projects
• Using modern tools and AI to help solve business challenges
• Working with teams across the organisation to understand their needs and explore solutions
• Working with a mix of low‑code, no‑code, and entry‑level technical tools (coding experience beneficial but not mandatory)

• Applying responsible, secure, and ethical use of digital and AI tools in line with organisational standards

What success looks like in this role

• Contribute to 1-2 live digital, automation, or innovation pilots during the 12‑month programme
• Demonstrate the ability to translate business needs into practical digital solutions
• Produce basic documentation, demos, or handover notes to support project continuity
• Show consistent learning, accountability, and progression through regular check‑ins

What we’re looking for

• A recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related IT field
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Curiosity about AI, automation and emerging technologies
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn
